Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Metrinfo collects when you use metrinfo.com, create an account, book a class or ask us about Salesforce work — and what we do with it. We keep it short and specific to what this website actually does.

1. Who we are

Metrinfo is operated by Utkarsh Singh, a sole proprietor based in India (“Metrinfo”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for your personal data as described here. For any privacy question or request, email admin@metrinfo.com.

2. What we collect

Your account

• Individual accounts: your name, email address, phone number and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash by our authentication provider — we never see them.
• Company accounts: company name, GST / tax ID, company email, contact person's name and phone number.
• Sign in with Google: if you choose it, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We don't get your Google password or anything else in your Google account.

Bookings and enquiries

• Class bookings: the student's name and email, experience level, chosen course, cohort, batch and number of seats, the amount and currency, and the payment status.
• Service requests: your name and email, the service and Salesforce cloud you're interested in, your project description, and the budget range and timeline you choose.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe (EUR) and Razorpay (INR). You enter card, UPI or bank details directly with them; we never receive or store full card numbers or bank credentials. We only keep the payment and order reference numbers and whether the payment succeeded.

Security and technical data

• When you sign in with a password, we record the time, your IP address and your browser type, so we can spot suspicious sign-ins.
• When something goes wrong on the site, our error logs may include your account ID or email address so we can fix the problem.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

3. How we use it

• To run your account — create it, sign you in and keep it secure.
• To deliver what you booked — reserve and confirm your seat, take payment, send your joining details and course material, and handle refunds.
• To respond to service requests — review your project and get back to you about it.
• To send service emails — booking received, seat confirmed, account confirmation and password reset. We don't send marketing emails; if that ever changes we'll ask you first.
• To protect the site — prevent fraud and abuse, and fix errors.
• To meet legal duties — keep tax and accounting records.

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (account, bookings, services), our legitimate interests (security and fixing errors), and legal obligation (tax records).

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers that run parts of this service for us, and only what each one needs:

• Supabase — database and sign-in (servers in the USA)
• Vercel — website hosting
• Resend — sending our emails (servers in Ireland, EU)
• Stripe and Razorpay — payments
• Google — only if you use Sign in with Google
• Hostinger — our business email, when you write to us

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

5. International transfers

Your data is stored in the USA and may be processed in other countries where our providers operate. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on the providers' data-protection terms, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Two providers set their own cookies when you use them: Google on the sign-in and sign-up pages, and Stripe or Razorpay during checkout (for fraud prevention).

If you fill in the service request form and need to sign in before sending it, your browser keeps a copy of what you typed for up to 2 hours so you don't have to retype it. That copy stays on your device — it isn't sent to us until you press send — and is deleted once your request goes through.

7. How long we keep it

• Account data — while your account is open. Ask us and we'll delete it.
• Booking and payment records — as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after your account is deleted.
• Sign-in history and error logs — kept to protect your account and fix problems, and deleted with your account.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of your personal data
• correct anything that's wrong
• delete your account and data (except records we must legally keep)
• give you your data in a portable format
• stop or limit a particular use of it

Email admin@metrinfo.com from the address on your account. We'll reply within 30 days. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the person to contact about grievances is Utkarsh Singh at the same address. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Security

The site runs only over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, each account can read only its own records, and payments go through PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

10. Children

Metrinfo is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also email account holders before it takes effect.
